K-12 Education

Dillon County has two school districts with each of the towns in the County serving as the major population centers for each – Dillon, Latta, and Lake View.

Dillon School District Three in Latta operates Latta High School, Latta Middle School, and Latta Elementary.   Latta High School has been selected by U.S. News and World Report as one of “America’s Best High Schools” – a distinction that is awarded to only the top ten percent of high schools in the nation.

Dillon School District Four has an enrollment of approximately 4100 students and operates a total of eight schools.

Dillon County residents also have access to private school within the County – Dillon Christian School serving grades K-12 is accredited by the South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA) and offers a private, Christian school alternative from Pre-K to 12th grade. DCS has an enrollment of 360 and offers numerous programs, activities, and sports with a Christian focus.
